THE DETOUR EFFECT
It’s not about The Plan, it’s about the detour.
This is not a wanderlust blog.
This is a wander-lost blog. I’m a drifter with a purpose. I want to hike trails around the world and help you do the same, but building a life around travel and the outdoors is not linear. Full-time nomadism requires taking many unexpected detours. I work in the outdoor adventure industry and have been a solo traveler my entire life. Find tips, itineraries, and stories on self-guided hiking, solo backpacking, car living, road trips, location independence, and traveling on a whim – but only listen if you dare. It’s not about The Plan, it’s about the detour.
I ONLY WRITE ABOUT PLACES I HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN TO. NO GHOSTWRITERS.

I hate getting emails, don’t you? Nobody needs yet another thing clogging up their inbox. So I’m trying something new. If you’d like to receive an update when I publish a new blog post, learn how to subscribe to desktop notifications.
